Introduction to laser steel mesh
Laser Stencil is also a template (SMT Laser Stencil) made by laser for SMT patches: it is a special mold for SMT; it is named because it is cut with a laser machine. Its main function is to help the soldering process. Deposition of paste or red glue; the purpose is to transfer an accurate amount of solder paste or red glue to the corresponding position on the empty PCB board.
Advantages: Compared with etched steel mesh and electroformed steel mesh. Laser stencils are simple to make, fast, highly precise, easy to use, and affordable. The quality of the laser steel mesh after electropolishing is better and the effect is better. Currently, most SMT patches on the market use laser stencils.
Disadvantages: The thickness is single, it cannot be used as a stepped steel mesh, and the processing of rounded, chamfered and irregular-shaped openings is not perfect.
Laser stencils can be divided into two subcategories: laser solder paste stencils and laser red glue stencils.
